Who we are

This policy covers webbuilding.net (“Web Building”). The site is run by Spencer Gasselin LLC, a Wyoming LLC doing business as Rank Summit Agency (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at connect@webbuilding.net.

What we collect

What you send us

Our contact form is built with Gravity Forms, a WordPress plugin. When you use it, we receive the details you enter, such as your name, email address and message. Form entries are stored in our WordPress database and sent to our inbox. If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever your message contains.

What is collected automatically

Like most websites, our web host keeps server logs. These can include your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, the page that sent you to us and the time of the visit. We use them to keep the site running, fix errors and block abuse.

Cookies

The site runs on WordPress. A few plugins help it work:

• LiteSpeed Cache speeds up the site by serving saved copies of pages. It may set technical cookies so the right version of a page is shown.
• Rank Math is an SEO plugin that manages page titles, sitemaps and similar settings. We don’t use it to track individual visitors.
• WordPress sets log-in cookies for site staff. Regular visitors don’t log in.

We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. We may add Google Analytics later to see which pages are useful. If we do, we will update this policy first and explain what it collects and how to opt out.

Affiliate links and other sites

Some links go through a /go/ address and then on to a vendor’s site, such as a website builder. That vendor may set its own cookies on its site so it can credit us for a sale. What happens there is covered by the vendor’s privacy policy, not this one. Vendors do not share your payment details with us. See our affiliate disclosure.

How we use information

• To answer your message and fix errors you report.
• To run, protect and improve the site.
• To meet legal obligations.

We don’t add you to a mailing list because you contacted us.

We don’t sell your data

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site, such as our web host and email provider, and when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep contact messages as long as we need them to reply and keep a record of the conversation. Ask us and we will delete them. Server logs are kept on our host’s normal schedule.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete personal information we hold about you by emailing us. Some US states give residents specific privacy rights. We honor these requests from any visitor, wherever you live.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work.

Security

The site uses an SSL certificate, so data you send through the form is encrypted in transit. No method of storing or sending data is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect it.

Children

Web Building is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

US focus

Web Building is run from the US for US readers. If you visit from another country, your information is handled in the US.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date at the top. See also our terms of use.
