GoHighLevel review (2026): websites, funnels and a CRM for agencies

The short answer

GoHighLevel is built for marketing agencies that run websites, funnels and a CRM for many clients under their own brand. Plans start at $97 a month billed monthly ($970 a year billed yearly) for 3 client sub-accounts, and texts, calls, emails and most AI features cost extra per use. For a single small business that mainly needs a website, it is a lot of platform and a variable bill, and it scores 3/10 on our exit score because sites and funnels can't be exported.

What it is and who it’s for

GoHighLevel (the company is HighLevel, Inc.) is an all-in-one marketing platform. One login gives you a drag-and-drop page builder for websites and sales funnels, a CRM, email and text messaging, calendars, review requests and AI tools.

Two terms first. A CRM (customer relationship management system) is where you keep leads and customers: names, phone numbers, notes and where each person stands in your sales process. A funnel is a short series of pages that walks a visitor toward one action, such as booking a call or buying.

The most important thing to know: GoHighLevel is built and priced for marketing agencies. An agency buys one account, then creates a sub-account for each client business. A sub-account (HighLevel also calls it a location) is a separate workspace with its own contacts, website, funnels and phone numbers. Agencies can put their own brand on the platform and resell it, which is called white label.

GoHighLevel fits best when:

  • You run a marketing agency and want one white-label platform for many client accounts.
  • You want to resell software to clients under your own brand (SaaS Mode, on the Agency Pro plan).
  • You run a local service business that needs funnels, a CRM, two-way texting, calls and review requests in one place, usually set up and run for you by an agency.

It is a poor fit if you are one business that mainly wants a simple website, if you want a fixed monthly bill, or if you might move your site to another platform later.

Plans and what they really cost

Most CRMs charge per seat, meaning per person who logs in. GoHighLevel doesn’t. It prices each plan per agency account, and users and contacts are unlimited on every plan. What changes between plans is how many sub-accounts you get and which reselling tools come with them. There is no free plan, only a 14-day free trial.

Agency Pro$497 a month$4,970 a yearUnlimitedSaaS Mode, rebill usage with your own markup, advanced API

Prices are from HighLevel’s pricing page. Yearly billing costs 10 times the monthly price, so you get two months free. The page shows the yearly total rather than a monthly figure; $970 a year works out to about $80.83 a month. Agency Pro was earlier sold as SaaS Pro. An API is a connection that lets other software read and write your data.

Usage fees on top of the plan

This is the part most buyers miss. Texts, calls, phone numbers, email sends and most AI features are billed per use from a wallet, on top of the subscription. HighLevel’s published US rates, from its LC Phone billing guide and its email and AI pricing articles:

  • Phone numbers: $1.15 a month for a local number, $2.15 a month for toll-free.
  • Texts: $0.00747 per message segment, sent or received.
  • Calls: $0.0166 a minute outbound, $0.01165 a minute inbound.
  • Text registration: US business texting requires A2P 10DLC registration, a carrier sign-up for business texting. It costs $22.50 one time for sole-proprietor and low-volume brands or $64 for high-volume brands, plus monthly campaign fees (the guide lists figures from $2.10 to $10.50 a month) and carrier pass-through fees.
  • Email: $0.675 per 1,000 emails through LC Email, the same on every plan, counting inbound and outbound. Optional email verification is $2.50 per 1,000.
  • AI: AI Employee Growth is $50 a month and AI Employee Unlimited $97 a month, each per sub-account. Otherwise AI is pay per use, for example $0.045 a minute for Voice AI and $0.01 per reply for Reviews AI.
  • Workflows: premium Workflow AI actions cost $0.01 each time they run.

Paid add-ons on the pricing page include a white-label mobile app ($497 a month), HIPAA compliance ($297 a month), premium support ($500 a month), WhatsApp ($10 a month per sub-account) and WordPress hosting (from $10 a month per site).

A 3-year cost example

Say you own one local service business and buy Starter yourself, billed yearly. You want a website, one local number for texting leads, about 1,000 text segments and 5,000 emails a month, and one business email inbox.

CostYear 1Years 2-33-year total
Starter plan, billed yearly$970$1,940$2,910
.com domain*$11.28$36.96$48.24
Google Workspace, 1 inbox$84$168$252
Local number ($1.15 a month)$13.80$27.60$41.40
A2P registration, one time$22.50$0$22.50
1,000 text segments a month$89.64$179.28$268.92
5,000 emails a month$40.50$81$121.50
Total$1,231.72$2,432.84$3,664.56

*HighLevel sells domains in the app but doesn’t publish the price, so we used Namecheap’s posted .com prices as a stand-in ($11.28 the first year, $18.48 a year to renew). GoHighLevel doesn’t host mailboxes (LC Email only sends), so we added one Google Workspace Business Starter inbox at $7 a month on an annual plan. The text and email volumes are our own example. Monthly A2P campaign fees, carrier pass-through fees, calls and AI are not counted.

Paid month to month, Starter alone is $3,492 over three years. For contrast, HubSpot’s free tools include a CRM and a 30-page website for $0, so the same domain and inbox would total $300.24. It isn’t a like-for-like swap, since we couldn’t confirm texting on HubSpot’s plans, but it shows how much of the GoHighLevel bill is the platform itself.

What you can build

Websites and funnels

The GoHighLevel website builder is drag-and-drop. HighLevel’s Websites overview says it makes multi-page websites, step-based funnels, blogs and online stores, plus forms, surveys and calendars. You can start from a template or a blank page; HighLevel doesn’t say how many templates there are. Neither the pricing page nor the overview article states a limit on sites, funnels or pages.

Sites live inside a sub-account. On Starter, an agency’s 3 sub-accounts cover 3 client businesses.

You can connect a root domain or a subdomain on any plan. You can also buy a domain inside HighLevel, but the price isn’t published.

Blog

The built-in blog supports categories, authors, scheduled posts, drafts, SEO title, description and keywords, canonical URLs, cover image alt text and an RSS feed. You can import posts from a URL or a CSV file, and AI can draft posts. HighLevel documents importing posts, but not exporting them.

Store

Websites and funnels can include a store: products with variants, images and video, and checkout with shipping or in-store pickup. You connect your own payment provider. HighLevel’s store setup article doesn’t say whether HighLevel adds its own transaction fee, so check before you sell.

SEO and code

Each page has its own title, meta description and other SEO settings, and AI can suggest titles and descriptions. 301 redirects (permanent forwards from an old address to a new one) are built in, but you add them one at a time; HighLevel doesn’t document a bulk import. You can add tracking code and custom CSS. The overview article doesn’t describe a custom HTML or JavaScript element, so confirm it if you need one.

AI features

The Funnel and Website AI builder drafts pages from a prompt and is free up to 1,000 prompts a day per location. Other AI tools, such as Conversation AI for chat replies, Voice AI for phone calls and Reviews AI for answering reviews, are billed per use or through the AI Employee plans.

The CRM side

The CRM is the reason most people buy GoHighLevel. According to the pricing page and help center, every plan includes:

  • Contacts and users: unlimited.
  • Pipelines: a pipeline is a board that shows each deal (one possible sale) moving through stages such as new lead, quoted and won. HighLevel calls deals opportunities. Pipelines are part of the core CRM; the pricing page doesn’t state a limit.
  • Automation: workflows are rules that act for you, for example texting a new lead and creating a follow-up task. They are included from Starter.
  • Phone and texting: calling, texting, picture messages, call recording and voicemail drops through LC Phone, all billed per use.
  • Email marketing: campaigns are included, but each email sent through LC Email costs $0.675 per 1,000.
  • Mobile app: the HighLevel/LeadConnector app is available. A fully white-labeled app is a $497 a month add-on, included with Enterprise.

For a busy local business, having texts, calls, form leads and booked appointments in one inbox is the real draw. The trade-off is a bill that moves with your usage.

What happens when you leave

GoHighLevel scores 3/10 on our exit score, which rates how much of a site you can take with you. The skill needed to leave is high: the website, funnels and blog have to be rebuilt somewhere else.

No supported website export

HighLevel’s help article Can HighLevel Websites Be Exported? (updated February 10, 2026) says there is no supported one-to-one website export. You can save the rendered HTML from your browser, but HighLevel says that copy is unsupported, can’t be edited in the builder and still depends on files hosted by HighLevel.

Contacts come out with gaps

Admins can export contacts to a CSV file, one sub-account at a time. Per HighLevel’s contact export article, the file includes names, emails, phone numbers, tags and selected custom fields, but:

  • Only the columns visible in your Contacts table are exported.
  • Only the latest note comes out, cut at 255 characters.
  • Conversation and automation history stay behind.
  • Export files are kept for 30 days.

Companies have their own CSV export. We couldn’t confirm an export for opportunities.

Your domain

If you bought your domain inside HighLevel, you can get the transfer code from the dashboard yourself, but not within 60 days of buying it or transferring it in. Once an account is cancelled, you have to file a release request through support instead, so move the domain before you cancel. The simplest setup is to register the domain at an outside domain registrar and only point it at HighLevel.

Our guide to leaving your website builder covers rebuilding and redirects, and our GoHighLevel alternatives page covers where to go next.

Gotchas

  • No supported website or funnel export. Browser HTML copies are unsupported and still rely on HighLevel files (Can HighLevel Websites Be Exported? article).
  • Usage is billed on top. Email sends ($0.675 per 1,000), texts, calls, phone numbers and most AI features (LC Email, LC Phone and AI Product Pricing articles).
  • Texting has setup fees. US texting needs A2P 10DLC registration with a one-time fee and monthly campaign fees (LC Phone billing guide).
  • Starter caps sub-accounts at 3. Unlimited client accounts start at $297 a month (pricing page).
  • Reselling costs more. Rebilling usage with a markup and SaaS Mode need Agency Pro at $497 a month (pricing page).
  • Contact export has gaps. Visible columns only, the latest note cut at 255 characters, one sub-account at a time (contact export article).
  • Domains are locked for 60 days after purchase, and cancelled accounts must request a release through support (domain transfer and release articles).
  • The trial turns paid. The 14-day trial bills automatically unless you cancel, and usage fees can apply during the trial (pricing page).
  • Some costs aren’t published. Domain prices and any store transaction fee weren’t on the pages we checked.

Who should pick it, who should not

Pick GoHighLevel if

  • You run an agency and want one white-label platform for websites, funnels, CRM and messaging across many clients.
  • You want to sell your own software subscriptions to clients (Agency Pro).
  • Your business lives on fast follow-up by text and phone, and an agency or team member will set up and run the workflows.

Skip it if

  • You are one business that mainly needs a simple website. The entry price plus usage fees is high for that.
  • You may want to move your site later. You’d rebuild every page and funnel.
  • You want one fixed bill. Phone, text, email and AI are metered.

Questions people ask

How much does GoHighLevel cost per month?

Starter is $97 a month billed monthly or $970 a year billed yearly, Unlimited is $297 a month ($2,970 a year) and Agency Pro is $497 a month ($4,970 a year). Texts, calls, phone numbers, email sends and most AI features cost extra per use.

Does GoHighLevel have a free plan?

No. Every plan has a 14-day free trial that turns into a paid plan unless you cancel, and usage fees for phone, texts, email and AI can apply during the trial.

Is GoHighLevel worth it for a single small business?

It can be if you rely on fast text and phone follow-up and someone will run the workflows. If you mainly need a website and a contact list, a builder with built-in contacts or HubSpot's free CRM costs far less.

Can I export my GoHighLevel website?

Not in a supported way. HighLevel's help center says there is no supported website export; a browser HTML copy is unsupported and still depends on HighLevel files. Contacts export to CSV with some gaps.

Does GoHighLevel include business email?

No mailbox hosting is listed. LC Email sends marketing and transactional email at $0.675 per 1,000 emails, but you need a separate service such as Google Workspace for an inbox at your domain.

Is GoHighLevel priced per user?

No. Plans are priced per agency account with unlimited users and contacts. The plans differ in how many client sub-accounts you get: 3 on Starter, unlimited from Unlimited.
