Comparison
Unbounce vs Leadpages: which landing page builder is better in 2026?
The short answer
Leadpages is the cheaper choice for most small businesses: Pro is $23 a month billed yearly for 25 pages with unlimited traffic, while Unbounce Starter is $22 for just 5 pages and 500 visitors. Unbounce makes sense if you'll A/B test seriously and want its AI traffic routing. For 4 ad pages at 10,000 visitors a month, Leadpages Pro costs $828 over three years and Unbounce Build $2,664.

The quick verdict
Pick Leadpages if you want the lowest cost for ad pages with no traffic cap. Pro is $23 a month billed yearly ($29 billed monthly) for 25 pages and unlimited visitors, and every plan includes a small site and blog. It is the better fit for a small business that sends modest ad traffic to a few lead pages.
Pick Unbounce if you plan to A/B test seriously and want Smart Traffic, its AI routing that sends each visitor to the version of a page most likely to convert for them. You pay more for that: testing starts at $112 a month billed yearly, and every plan caps monthly visitors.

Prices are from the Unbounce pricing page and the Leadpages pricing page. Unbounce prints only a per-month figure for yearly billing (“Save 25%”), so the yearly totals below are our math. Leadpages’ yearly prices come from its own machine-readable pricing file: Pro is $276 a year, Grow $948.
Cost over 3 years
Take a local business sending Google Ads traffic to 4 landing pages, with about 10,000 visitors a month, on a domain it already owns. Unbounce Starter is out (5 pages, 500 visitors), so the cheapest Unbounce plan that fits is Build. Leadpages Pro fits as is.
| Plan, billed yearly | Per month | 3 years |
|---|---|---|
| Leadpages Pro (no testing) | $23 | $828 |
| Unbounce Build (no testing) | $74 | $2,664 |
| Leadpages Grow (A/B testing) | $79 | $2,844 |
| Unbounce Experiment (A/B testing) | $112 | $4,032 |
The math: $276 a year times 3 for Leadpages Pro, $948 times 3 for Grow, and the Unbounce per-month price times 36. Without testing, Leadpages costs $1,836 less over three years. With testing, the gap is $1,188.
Starting from scratch? Add a .com domain ($48.24 over three years) and one Google Workspace inbox ($252), the same $300.24 for both tools. That makes Leadpages Pro $1,128.24 and Unbounce Build $2,964.24.
Watch the Unbounce visitor caps. Its Terms charge $80 for each extra 10,000 visits or part of that, and pages keep running while the overage is billed separately. If this business grew to 25,000 visitors a month on Build, the 5,000 extra would cost $80 that month; every month for three years, that is $2,880. Moving up to Experiment would cost less. Leadpages has no visitor cap, but its Pro plan stops at 25 pages and Business at 50.
Design and ease of use
Both are drag-and-drop page builders with templates and AI help, metered by monthly AI credits.
- Unbounce includes AI copywriting and its AI Hybrid Builder on every plan, with 4,000 to 80,000 AI credits a month on self-serve plans. Popups and sticky bars are built in and can run on any site through an embed code, though they aren’t in the AI Hybrid Builder yet.
- Leadpages includes AI page creation on every plan, with 12,000 to 160,000 credits a month, and sells top-ups from $2.50 for 2,000 credits to $90 for 150,000. Pop-ups and alert bars exist, but the pricing page doesn’t list them by plan.
Both now connect to AI assistants. Unbounce lists an MCP connection so assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT can build and publish pages, and Leadpages advertises “Publish from Claude / ChatGPT.” MCP is a standard way for AI tools to work inside other apps.
Store, blog and SEO
Unbounce makes landing pages, popups and sticky bars only. Leadpages goes further: each plan includes sites and blogs (Pro has 1 site and 1 blog, Grow 4 sites and 3 blogs) and Stripe payments on landing pages. Neither is a full online store.
For SEO, keep expectations low. Ad landing pages aren’t usually meant to rank, and neither tool is built to be your main site. If organic search matters, build the main site on a full builder or WordPress and use either tool for ad pages on a subdomain.
Forms, tracking and integrations
This is where the two differ most for Google Ads users.
- Google Ads: Leadpages has a native integration that sends conversion events. Unbounce names no native connector; you paste the Google tag and event snippet, or use Google Tag Manager in its Smart Builder.
- Meta: Leadpages has a native Meta Ads integration for lead and conversion data. Unbounce adds the Meta Pixel by code, per page or site-wide with its Script Manager.
- Email and CRM: both connect to HubSpot and Mailchimp, and both work with Zapier. Unbounce also lists Salesforce, Marketo, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, CallRail and others. Leadpages includes webhooks and an API on every plan, outside its integration cap.
- Leads: Unbounce counts conversions as unlimited and exports leads to CSV. Leadpages keeps form submission history 30 days on Pro, and while you subscribe on higher plans.
Our websites and Google Ads guide explains conversion tracking step by step.
Domains, SSL and speed
Unbounce includes an SSL certificate on all paid plans once your CNAME record connects, but you must switch it on for all visitors, and Cloudflare’s proxy has to be off. Leadpages says all pages it hosts are served over HTTPS; without a custom domain, pages live on an lpages.co address.
On speed, only Unbounce makes claims: it says it follows most of Google’s PageSpeed Insights recommendations and that its AMP pages, labeled “open beta,” load in “less than half a second on average.” These are vendor claims, not independent tests. Leadpages publishes no speed claim we could find.
Where Leadpages’ own pages disagree
Leadpages moved to a new plan lineup (Pro, Business, Grow, Optimize, Scale), and its pages don’t all match yet:
- A/B testing on Grow: the pricing table shows manual testing with 6 variants a page; the machine-readable pricing file says Grow is “2-way only.”
- Page caps: the pricing page says Grow and Optimize have unlimited pages; a May 2026 help article says up to 500.
- Integration caps: the pricing page says 10 on Optimize and 25 on Scale; the integrations page says 25 and 100.
- Trial: the pricing page says 7 days; a February 2026 cancel article still says 14.
- Scale plan: $319 a month billed yearly, listed in the pricing file and FAQ but not in the main pricing table.
If one of these matters to you, ask Leadpages support in writing before you buy.
Leaving later
Neither tool has an exit score on our exit scores page yet, but the documents are clear enough.
Unbounce: pages download only as .unbounce files that upload into another Unbounce account, and Smart Builder pages can’t be downloaded at all. When you cancel, pages are unpublished and moved to unbouncepages.com, custom domains are removed, and the Terms say the account, leads included, is deleted within 90 days. Export your leads to CSV first.
Leadpages: landing pages download as HTML for any host. The supported “dynamic” version is a script that still pulls the page from Leadpages, and the “static” copy breaks analytics and split tests. When you cancel, pages stop at the end of the billing cycle and custom domains disconnect; Leadpages holds your assets for up to a year. Old-plan pricing is lost if you cancel and come back.
Either way, keep your domain at your own registrar so you can point it elsewhere. Our guide to leaving a builder has a checklist.
Pick Unbounce if…
- You’ll run A/B tests and want Smart Traffic (Optimize, $187 a month billed yearly).
- You want a 14-day trial with no card.
- You need popups and sticky bars on a site built elsewhere.
- Your traffic is predictable enough to stay under a visitor cap.
Pick Leadpages if…
- You want the lowest price for a handful of ad pages with no traffic limit.
- You want native Google Ads and Meta conversion sending without pasting code.
- A small site or blog on the same account would help.
- You may want an HTML copy of a page someday, with its limits.
Neither? Look at…
Your current builder may be enough: Wix, Squarespace, WordPress and HubSpot can all make header-free ad pages for no extra cost. Instapage suits ad teams that need personalization, from $79 a month billed yearly. Carrd handles a single cheap page for $19 a year. If you sell courses through funnels, read our ClickFunnels review. All of these are in our landing page builders guide.
